Okay a month later, and i'm back!
A lot to catch up on, but I'll try to make it as short as possible.
Tahoe, was a lot of fun! Conditions were awesome and it was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone again. Unfortunately we missed our flights coming back, but as long as we were all in good company and safe, it was all good. Saturday at Northstar was beautiful, and night boarding Sunday at Squaw was just awesome! Probably one of the best part was when we were boarding down this wide part, and all of us were together just shredding up the mountain. Cuz usually, its one by one, and sometimes we'd stop and wait for people. But this time, all of us were right next to each other and just tearing it up. Good times! This season has been pretty good so far, although its been getting warmer here lately. Hopefully we can hit up Mammoth sometime next month.
Wedding update...well I finally asked my final groomsmen and he accepted. I know, I sorta lagged on it, but I wanted to talk to him in person. But knowing I couldn't get to home-home, I figured just calling him on the phone would be best. We also officially booked our church so whew....all the important stuff is done. Now, to the fun stuff!
The writer's strike just recently ended which was pretty good news. However, I'm still missing my usual shows like Heroes, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, etc. Odd, cuz of the writer's strike, I don't see Lou and Belle as often since we'd always have our Heroes nights every Monday. Oh well. At least there's, American Idol and Lost. Lost has been pretty interesting with the new characters and we're slowly finding out who were the six that got off the island. As for Idol, this is the only time I really pay attention, during auditions and crap. I'm glad that one dude that sleeps in his car got kicked off. He doesn't admit he's homeless, but c'mon, if you're living in your damn car, face it, you're homeless. But I'm glad he got kicked off cuz I was getting annoyed at him. He sings in this stupid fake English accent and he had the balls to tell the band to get off the stage to perform solo for his final audition for the top 25. Simon was right, if you have the balls to do that, you better be sure to bring it, which of course he didn't. HAHA! Okay I mean, but its pure entertainment! But yeah, I probably wont watch it much until the end.
Like Lou, I've been watching the new Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles series, and its pretty entertaining. It's not dope, but doesn't suck, so its worth watching. Summer Glau is pretty cute so watching her kick ass is pretty fun. Oh yeah, and Brian Austin Green just joined the cast for a bit as one of the resistance members that went back in time. (DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES!). Oh and their website is pretty cool. Little did I know that the person playing Sarah Connor is the queen from 300. And yunno what that means...we all saw her boobies!!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Take care bro in law, watch your back in Iraq. I know you'll be in a 'safer' place, but just be careful regardless. And congrats to Dr. Feel Good!!

Happy New Year everyone! Yeah I know, I'm 10 days late or so. Anyhow, its been a pretty dope 2007, and i'm looking forward to 2008. It's been a year full of ups, and some downs. Let's see if I can remember some highlights...
January: Watched Michigan loose AGAIN to USC in the Rose Bowl. Went to Tahoe.
February: Don't remember anything
March: Went to Mammoth, had fun, but it was a crappy winter season. Also bought my new snowboard! Spent a weekend in Vegas, which such an unusual trip, but it was awesome how we all rocked the pai gow table.
April: Moved out of Hayes and into Ternberry
May: Happy 27th Birthday, Karen
June: Participated in the Mud Run. Also, one of the worst things to ever happen to me (witnessing the Ducks win the Stanley Cup).
July: saw Incubus for the first time in concert in almost 3 years. spent a weekend in the bay to see Jenn and Cesar get married.
August: Went to Arizona for the first time ever. Ran my first 1/2 Marathon in San Diego.
September: saw Incubus for the 2nd time.
October: Went to Washington D.C. and New York where I proposed to Karen. After waiting for years, I finally bought the TV I wanted. I also ended my years living in my 20's. Sad...so sad.
November: Thanksgiving with the family
December: Christmas with the family and ended celebrating the New Year with Jenn, Cesar, and company.
So far, the New Year looks very promising, as it should be very memorable year for myself, and a few other close friends of mine. Wow, 10 more months to go till the big day!
Anyhow, got Tahoe coming up next week and I can't wait. They got a huge storm last week so we'll be arriving at a perfect time!
Got good news with my eyes. Not sure if people have noticed, but I've been wearing my glasses for the past two or three months. Reason is my contacts have given me Keratitis, which is inflammation of the cornea. Ever had an eye booger in your eye preventing you seeing clearly? It's like that, but there's no eye booger to pick and fling at someone. Anyhow, so I've had to stop using contacts and sunglasses for awhile, but it finally cleared up. I'm not sure if my contacts were the exact cause of it, it might be something else, but the good news comes in time for Tahoe. I'll probably alter my routine when I get ready for work in the morning. But for sure, I'll wait until Tahoe to use my contacts, hopefully this doesn't flare up again. I don't mind using glasses cuz i've gotten used to them, but i miss wearing my polarized Oakleys!
Anyhow, Happy New Year everyone!

October 4th
- picked up my engagement ring for Karen
-arrived at LB Airport (thanks Lou and Belle for the ride) and transferred Karen's ring into Ryan's camera bag.
-flew out to Washington D.C. via Jet Blue (red eye flight) and watched ESPN the entire trip on Direct TV (freakin awesome!)
October 5th
-arrived at Washington D.C/Dulles Airport just past 5am
-picked up car rental from Enterprise and got lost going to airport after Ryan's GPS died (haha)
-after getting lost and taking two different toll roads, we finally arrived at the Sheraton Premiere at Tyson's Corner in Vienna, VA
-had breakfast across the street at McDonald's
-took a 4 hour nap
-took D.C. Metro Orange Line from Virginia into Union Station, Washington D.C.
-had lunch at Union Station's Johnny Rockettes
-visited U.S. Surpreme Court
-visited U.S. Capitol
-visited Grant Memorial
-walked along The Mall
-visited the Washington Monument and watched the sun set behind the Lincoln Memorial
-met up with Karen's friend May and had dinner near Arlington at some Irish Pub
-almost got killed by May's driving. (hehe!)
-went back to hotel in Vienna
October 6th
-took DC Metro to Arlington National Cemetery. Visited JFK's gravesite, Curtis Lee Mansion, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
-ate at Karen's aunt's friend's Italian Restaurant in Arlington
-visited National Archives and saw the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Articles of Confederation.
-took a long ass walk to see The White House
-walked again and visited the World War II Memorial
-walked along the Reflecting Pool and visited the Lincoln Memorial
-visited Vietnam Veterans Memorial
-took DC Metro back to Vienna, and met up with Resty and friends for some drinks at Gordon Biersch Brewery at the Tyson's Corner Shopping Center.
-went back to the hotel.
October 7th
-Ryan and went back to D.C. to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial again and Korean Veterans Memorial
-Bought 2 for 1 Marlboro packs, thinking they were Marlboro Smooth's.
-Went back to hotel to get ready for Resty's wedding, and found out those packs were instead Marlboro Menthols (blah!)
-Got ready for wedding then bought a buy 2 get 1 free packs of Marlboro Menthol Lights
-Went to Resty's wedding ceremony
-Went to Resty's reception at Maggiano's at Tyson's Galleria
-Went back to hotel to pack for New York.
-Stayed up late watching The Real World: Australia with Ryan.
October 8th
-Returned rental car via this hyper Puerto Rican shuttle driver that was full of energy at 5:30am, blasting Puerto Rican music and dancing outside his door while we walked passed him to our terminal.
-Saw Resty's cousin at the airport by surprise (he was flying back to San Francisco. Sidenote: He was also my sister's prom date when they were seniors)
-Had my first Dunkin' Donuts coffee and donut since Chicago at Dulles Airport.
-Arrived at JFK New York around 10:30am and was escorted by our car driver into Manhattan.
-Arrived at the Belvedere Hotel around 11:45am and checked in
-Took a short nap while Ryan called Verizon complaining about his work phone being broken.
-Watched about 2 or 3 episodes of last season's Beauty and the Geek.
-Finally left the hotel, walked toward's Time Square, noticed Cat and Joe's hotel was around the corner from us, and ate some appetizers at Friday's.
-Joe and Cat finally arrived from Boston.
-Walked East of Broadway and saw Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Plaza, then walked North on 5th Ave to see St. Patrick's Cathedral and shopped. Visited H&M, NBA Store, the Apple Store, and Niketown.
-had first Dunkin Donuts coffee in New York off of 50th St.
-Went back to hotel for a quick break then met up with Ryan's cousins for dinner at K-town for some Korean BBQ.
-Went back to Cat and Joe's hotel and watched Monday Night Football (Dallas came back to beat Buffalo).
-Joe, Cat, and me walked to Times Square at 1am to take pictures, while Karen and Ryan went back to the Belvedere.
October 9th
-woke up and had breakfast downstairs with Ryan.
-met up with Joe and Cat around the corner of their hotel then Joe bought like 7 pounds of M&M's from M&M world.
(okay quick story. the forecast for today was 80 degrees with high humidity and a 50% chance of rain. so now i'm thinking "Great, its our anniversary (every month on the 9th), and the day I've been planning to propose to Karen, its gonna freakin rain!")
-Transferred Karen's ring to my camera bag.
-Took Subway to Lower Manhattan and visited Battery Park, where we saw The Sphere (a sculpture that was between the World Trade Center before 9/11), and at a distance you can see Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty.
-Walked north and visited the World Trade Center site (a lot of cleanup still being done)
-Took subway into Little Italy for lunch. (The food we had was ehhhhh)
-Walked North and shopped around Nolita, Soho, Noho, and Washington Square Park. I also transferred the ring to my pocket.
-It starts to rain lightly.
-Met up with Cat's friend Kim and took subway to Brooklyn.
-Walked to Brooklyn Heights Promenade (no rain)
-Walked to the north end of the Promenade and asked Ryan to take pictures of Karen and me.
Me: Happy Anniversary!
Karen: Oh yeah huh!? Happy Anniversary!
Me: Did you want to celebrate more anniversaries together?
Karen: Of course I want to!
Me: (went down on one knee, took out the ring and asked) then Karen, will you marry!?
Karen: OMG OMG OMG, ARE YOU SERIOUS?? YES!!!!
-hooray got engaged!
-walked to eat some good New York pizza at Grimaldi's.
-walked about a mile or so in the freakin rain to some bar that served smores to have drinks and play Guitar Hero II.
-went back to hotel to sleep.
October 10th
-woke up, had breakfast again with Ryan.
-packed up and transferred to Sheraton Manhattan Times Square Hotel.
-watched Legally Blonde on Broadway with Joe and Cat
-went back to hotel to meet up with Ryan then we all took a walk at Central Park.
-chilled at Columbus Circle while Ryan ate at Whole Foods.
-went back to the hotel to chill and rest.
-met with Karen's friend Nikki, where Karen, Nikki, Ryan, and me went to Hell's Kitchen for dinner
-took subway back to Brooklyn Heights Promenade to take more pictures since it rained the previous day.
-Karen and I met up with Joe and Cat to go up the Empire State Building at 12:45am.
-went back to hotel.
October 11th
-it was going to rain all day so we slept in a little bit, then we (Karen, Ryan, and me) had lunch at Grand Central Terminal.
-met up with Joe and Cat for dessert at Serendipity 3 and had Frozen Hot Chocolate.
-went to Bloomingdales down the street to take a dump.
-we all got tired so we went to our hotel to rest and take a nap.
-went across the street to buy some Dunkin Donuts coffee and smoke. (it was so fun to just people watch outside)
-took a nap, then contemplating walking in the rain down the street to watch Hairspray. (We ended not)
-Joe and Cat left to meet up with Cat's friend, so Ryan, Karen, and me went around the corner to eat at Ray's Pizza then shopped for souveniers.
-went back to hotel to sleep and pack.
October 12th
-Karen and I woke up at 6:30am to get to The Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza.
-Met Meredith Viera and we talked about our engagement
-8:40am EST, we were on TV!!!
-went to the NBC store to purchase some souveniers.
-went back to the hotel to have breakfast with Ryan
-packed up more then took a nap.
-Ryan and I took the subway to The Bronx to check out Yankee Stadium.
-walked around a bit then tried to take the subway back to Rockefeller to meet up with Joe and Cat and go up Top of the Rock since it was a clear day, but didn't want to risk waiting in line since our flight was at 6pm.
-had lunch with Karen just outside of Rockefeller Plaza at one of those Halal carts (oh man its soooo good! esp for $5!)
-went back to hotel to get luggage, got picked up by our car service, then left go home to California.
It was the first time for me in the East Coast and loved it! It wasn't a normal relaxing vacation, but it was nice just to get away from work and California for once. It was a little somber visiting some of the memorials in D.C. and the World Trade Center in New York. When I was standing at Battery Park and just looking up at the skyline, I couldn't help to imagine witnessing the 9/11 events unfold. But it was really cool finally visiting both historic cities. If you wanna do a cheap trip, D.C. is the way to go since everything there is free (memorials, museums, etc.). But New York is a must place to visit! Everything is just a subway stop away in Manhattan. I just wished they had better food like they did in Chicago. Maybe I didn't eat at the right places. But getting engaged in front of the New York skyline was definitely the most memorable part trip. Can't wait to go back! I wished more people went, but thanks Joe, Cat, Ryan, and Karen for a wonderful time.
Now its time to plan a wedding!

-we all got tired so we went to our hotel to rest and take a nap.
-went across the street to buy some Dunkin Donuts coffee and smoke. (it was so fun to just people watch outside)
-took a nap, then contemplating walking in the rain down the street to watch Hairspray. (We ended not)
-Joe and Cat left to meet up with Cat's friend, so Ryan, Karen, and me went around the corner to eat at Ray's Pizza then shopped for souveniers.
-went back to hotel to sleep and pack.
October 12th
-Karen and I woke up at 6:30am to get to The Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza.
-Met Meredith Viera and we talked about our engagement
-8:40am EST, we were on TV!!!
-went to the NBC store to purchase some souveniers.
-went back to the hotel to have breakfast with Ryan
-packed up more then took a nap.
-Ryan and I took the subway to The Bronx to check out Yankee Stadium.
-walked around a bit then tried to take the subway back to Rockefeller to meet up with Joe and Cat and go up Top of the Rock since it was a clear day, but didn't want to risk waiting in line since our flight was at 6pm.
-had lunch with Karen just outside of Rockefeller Plaza at one of those Halal carts (oh man its soooo good! esp for $5!)
-went back to hotel to get luggage, got picked up by our car service, then left go home to California.
It was the first time for me in the East Coast and loved it! It wasn't a normal relaxing vacation, but it was nice just to get away from work and California for once. It was a little somber visiting some of the memorials in D.C. and the World Trade Center in New York. When I was standing at Battery Park and just looking up at the skyline, I couldn't help to imagine witnessing the 9/11 events unfold. But it was really cool finally visiting both historic cities. If you wanna do a cheap trip, D.C. is the way to go since everything there is free (memorials, museums, etc.). But New York is a must place to visit! Everything is just a subway stop away in Manhattan. I just wished they had better food like they did in Chicago. Maybe I didn't eat at the right places. But getting engaged in front of the New York skyline was definitely the most memorable part trip. Can't wait to go back! I wished more people went, but thanks Joe, Cat, Ryan, and Karen for a wonderful time.
Now its time to plan a wedding!

Okay, haven't blogged in almost a month...again. I dunno, I guess I'm getting pretty lazy with this whole blog thing. And plus, I don't even know if people actually read this thing. Oh well, whatever. But anyhow...let's see what I can blog about.
Oh yeah, I completed the AFC Half Marathon in San Diego a couple of weeks ago with a crappy time of 2 hours and 51 minutes. I got too lazy towards the last month training for this event. It was too damn hot this summer. So, instead of running, I actually drank more beer and smoked cigarettes. Bad huh? Well, my main goal was to just finish and do it under 3 hours. So I did. I felt fine after 8 miles, but then it got freakin hot so I started to feel a lil lightheaded. Both of my quads cramped up near the end so it was a struggle. But overally, it was a fun experience and maybe I'll run it again next year. I'm doing the Nike Run Hit Remix again, and I'm doing the same training method: beer and cigarettes.
I'm sorta excited cuz I'm finally going on vacation in about a month. This is actually my FIRST vacation taken in a long time. Sure I've gone on snowboarding trips, traveled to Chicago, the Bay, etc. but those were actually long weekends in which I've taken maybe a day off at the most. I'm close to maxing out on my vacation time, so I'm spending a week at Washington D.C. to see my boy Resty get married, and then taking a quick flight up the New York and spend about five days there. I don't have a lot of money, but I figured if I don't go on vacation now, I probably wont have the opportunity to go until next year. Been reading my books on what places to see, so I'm getting really excited.
Belle, Ryan, the roommates and I had a successful mission surprising Lou on his 28th birthday a couple of weeks ago. He totally thought it was someone from the dorm's birthday, but found out it was for him. Seeing drunk Lou is hilarious. A guy as cool as Lou deserves to be drunk on his birthday. Hehe. But it was pretty cool seeing the crew along with some guys from the old Bahia days. It seemed almost like a reunion.
Checked out Incubus again on Friday at Verizon with awesome seats again. How awesome? This awesome!
Karen and I took Lou and Belle again for Lou's birthday and sat about the 5th row from the front. We also saw Shannon Elizabeth just a few rows in front of us. She's still hot and was totally cool taking pictures with everyone, including the staff event crew. I sorta wanted to take pictures when Belle asked, but I had a feeling Incubus was going to start soon (which they did). It's okay, I've seen her boobs. Awesome! Didn't care so much about The Bravery, who opened, cuz I think they suck. But its always cool to see Incubus live. We got VIP parking and VIP passes to one of the bars there. So we got to go in our own entrance and ignore all the traffic. Happy Birthday again Lou, hope you and Belle enjoyed the show.
Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs Chris Lapaz! The wedding was beautiful and a lot of fun. Got to see a lot of friends from UCI. How cool was it to listen to Iya's dad sing at her daughter's wedding? Awesome and pretty emotional.
What's not so awesome: the 0-2 Michigan Wolverines. I swear they can't stop a spread offense. Man, I knew their defenese was horrible since loosing Lamar Woodley and Leon Hall to the draft, but good gawd they suck! FIRE COACH LLOYD CARR!!! I'm already sick of losing the games that count (Rose Bowl's and Ohio State matches), now I'm just sick of losing!! BLAH!
Yunno what I'm also sick of....fake people. BLAH! After reading Belle's blog, there's a lot of fake people out there that I know of, even at work. So boo on you fake people.
On a happier note. Happy 4th year anniversary to my poopsie woopsie, Karen! HAHA! Damn 4 years already?? Crazy man!! What did Karen and I do for our anniversary? Had Fatburger for lunch with Jenn, Cesar, Belle, and Lou, drove to Torrance to pick up our Nike Run Hit packets, and ate Japanese food for dinner. Random huh? Sometimes stuff as simple as that can be just as special as dressing up, going out on a huge date, and eating filet mignon or chilean sea bass. A King Burger with egg, cheese, and bacon for lunch, and a Volcano Roll, Korean BBQ, and sushi for dinner does just fine! =) Happy Anniversary again! I love you!

Greetings from Tucson!! Yes, i'm actually sitting here at the Tucson airport waiting for my flight back to Orange County. "What the heck am I doing in Tucson" you might ask? Well I'm here for a conference for work...its basically for a ticketing/database software we use. Oh wait...I think I blogged about that in my last post. This is my first conference I've ever attended for work and also the first time flying alone.
Anyhow, the conference went really well. Got to see some cool tricks and saw how other arts organizations run their company with the software. It kinda sucked cuz I was staying at an overflow hotel, not the host hotel, which was like about a 40 minute shuttle ride. So that meant I had to wake up earlier and also leave earlier to go back to my hotel. My hotel was ehh..stayed at the Westward Look Hotel, and was no where near as nice as the JW Starpass Mariott, where the conference was being held. The weather is pretty warm and humid. Its their monsoon season, and it rained here earlier in the day on Monday before I got here. So I came to my hotel room and found sandbags on my front doorstep. (My room was below street level.)
Didn't do much the first night, as most of my co-workers were staying at the host hotel. Just walked around the resort, took some pictures, and had dinner. Pretty weird, cuz it was the first time I've ever eaten at a restaurant all by myself. I'm lucky to have great friends I can eat with, hehe.
Tuesday, I checked out the PIMA Airspace Museum on Tuesday where I checked out a variety of historic planes, which they also hosted a catered dinner inside the hangars. They had some cool planes on display including the SR-71 Blackbird, an old F-18 Blue Angel Hornet, an old F4 Phantom, an A-10 Thunderbolt, and the best part was former Presidents' John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson's Air Force One. I got to go inside and take some pictures which was pretty cool. Everything was secured by glass casings, but it was actually pretty cool to go inside it. I wonder if that was the exact one in which Pres. Johnson was sworn in after Kennedy was assassinated. Pretty interesting.
I also took part of the 5K they had here. It was pretty fun, but since the hotel was nestled in the foothills, the path was a little hilly. It was okay going down but coming back up to finish sucked. Oh well, it was fun, and a lot of people particpated.
As i said earlier, the hotel was freakin awesome, and the staff was probably the best hotel staff ever. The people at the front desk, concierge, bell desk, valet people, bus people...you name it, they were all friendly. And the best part of the conferenece was THE FOOD!! Man, for breakfast, they'd be serving really nice breakfast burritos, fruits, cereals, and all, then for lunch we'd have different kind of wraps, hot dogs, angus beef burgers, etc. Even in between sessions, we'd have breaks and they'd have small snacks out there to enjoy. And dinner....awwww man last night was the best! Sea Bass, crab, lobster tails...yummy!! AND every single meal was a buffet! yum! =) oh yeah, and plus the free open bar too, although they didn't serve any hard liquor.
Anyhow, I'm glad I got to take part of the conference. I had a lot of fun here, but i also can't wait to get back home. I didn't actually go into the city since the hotels were sorta far away from everything, but that's okay. There isn't much to see here. Next year will be really fun as they announced it will be in Nashville. It's actually pretty cool now that they're going to smaller cities because if gives us an opportunity to go cities we never thought we'd ever go to. So hopefully next year, I can stay a little longer after the conference and explore the city more. And its all paid for by work!
So now I'm in the airport and I've never seen such a dead airport in my life. I got here and literally walked all the way to the security check machines. I wish John Wayne was like that. Okay, time to board...

First and foremost, congratulations to Jenn & Cesar!
The wedding was beautiful and we all had a blast in San Francisco!
It kinda sucks cuz even after two weeks, I still wish we were still up in the bay. Had a lot of fun, reminscent of Chicago...staying in the city, taking public transportation to get around, eating at local restaurants, just plain having a good time with a group of people Friday was a long day flying in early in the morning, and pretty much did everything the rest of the day...shopping, site seeing, going to warf, and partying up at night. Saturday we all suited up and enjoyed the lovely ceremony and the lovely open bar. I mean...lovely reception. Good times.
And seriously, its not a complete trip if Keno isn't there. I swear man, this guy is just full of laughs and entertainment that he always makes a trip much more memorable! Haha, whether its him bustin a random lyric, making sharp turns in his car in the streets of SF, watching him dance his drunk-ass off, or looking at him sweat really bad (haha), its all good times for me. Cheers to Keno!
Anyhow, my 1/2 marathon training is going ehhhh. I got sick about a month ago, and it threw my training off. Been trying to stay disciplined and focus, but it sucks when the weather is so hot and after a long day of working, you just want to crash and stay indoors. But I'm doing what I can...ran my longest distance at 10 miles so far on Sunday, and played softball immediately after, and now my ankle isn't liking me right now. Oh well. Got three more weeks to go.
Going to Tucson, Arizona next week for a conference for work. Oh yay, more hot weather. I'll be gone for three nights and I think it'll be sorta cool to explore a little bit, aside from the conference. Not too excited tho, I mean the past couple of years the conference has been in Toronto and Boston. Now, Tucson? Oh well...free trip.
I've been in an 80's music mood lately. Just saw Tears for Fears at the OC Fair (for free!) on Sunday, and ever since, been listening to 80's. I have "Mad World" stuck in my head right now, hehe. The concert was cool, although I only knew their classic tracks, which was probably 5 out of the 15 they played. I still like "Sowing the Seeds of Love" and "Head Over Heels." Pretty interesting cuz I wikipedia'd Tears for Fears and they said that the two members had a pretty bad split up, even taking jabs at each other with their solo music, but finally made amends and came back together.
So now, I've been listening to some Tears for Fears and Spandau Ballet. Yes, there's more to Spandau Ballet than just "True." Actually, thanks to my sister, I grew up listening to a lot of Spandau Ballet when I was little. This was before I got into Depeche Mode, New Order, OMD, Erasure, and other new wave bands. In fact my first concert ever was Depeche Mode at Dodger Stadium back in 1990. Still got my ticket...
Depeche Mode is still around, but they're not the same anymore. Ever since one of their members, Alan Wilder, left they don't have that 'sound' that Alan created. Oh well. At least I got to see them right before they started to go downhill.
Okay I'm done with this boring post. Time to run. Boo.

Wow, I haven't blogged in over a month. I don't know, I guess I'm just getting lazy blogging. Being in front of a computer all day, staring at sales figures, sending out sales reports, and messing with our myspace page just makes my eyes tired when I get home. And well, to be honest sometimes I don't have anything to blog about. Yeah, my life can get pretty boring at times.
Hey Karen, you're officially in your late 20's! I hope you enjoyed your birthday this year, even though it was a little more quiet this year.
We finally had our housewarming party. Well, it was mostly just a bbq if anything. Had a lot of friends and co-workers over and a lot of food and beer. Too bad I got left with the burnt bbq ribs. I guess next time I should get first dibs on the good ones I bbq'd instead of the dried up crunchy ones that tasted like ash. Oh well, I'm just glad everyone had a good time.
I've been itching to go to San Diego the past couple of months, and I was finally able to last weekend. Thanks to Cat, some of us got to visit Sea World for free. I think we actually spent more time drinking free samples of beer than watching any of the shows. Come to think of it, all we watched was the Cirque de la muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuer show. We didnt even get to see Shamu! Oh well, whatever. Then afterwards, we hit up this pretty cheap mexican joint for some grub that Jon took us to, and drank more at Jenn and Cesar's. Spent the following day at their wedding shower where we grubbed more.
Been training, well sort of, the past 2 months for the World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run which took place this weekend. It was a lot of fun, running and swimming in mud....something I never thought I'd do. We completed the 6.2 mile run in 1 hour 54 minutes, which I thought was pretty good, although we finished at the bottom in our age category. Oh well, I just wanted to finish it. I'm also using my training for the AFC Half Marathon in August which I signed up as well. I figured that if I can't do a marathon before I end my 20's, then I guess a half will do. Lou had a pretty good point, if I maybe do the Disney half and the AFC Half, then techinically that's kinda like doing a full marathon right?! But then again, I sorta don't wanna pay $95 to run around Anaheim, when I can pay almost half of that and run somewhere nice like San Diego. But, I'll only do it if someone in particular signs up. Anyhow, thank you very much to those that pushed me to run, especially Lou and Belle. Running with you guys made the mud run a lot easier for me.

I think we actually spent more time drinking free samples of beer than watching any of the shows. Come to think of it, all we watched was the Cirque de la muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuer show. We didnt even get to see Shamu! Oh well, whatever. Then afterwards, we hit up this pretty cheap mexican joint for some grub that Jon took us to, and drank more at Jenn and Cesar's. Spent the following day at their wedding shower where we grubbed more.
Been training, well sort of, the past 2 months for the World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run which took place this weekend. It was a lot of fun, running and swimming in mud....something I never thought I'd do. We completed the 6.2 mile run in 1 hour 54 minutes, which I thought was pretty good, although we finished at the bottom in our age category. Oh well, I just wanted to finish it. I'm also using my training for the AFC Half Marathon in August which I signed up as well. I figured that if I can't do a marathon before I end my 20's, then I guess a half will do. Lou had a pretty good point, if I maybe do the Disney half and the AFC Half, then techinically that's kinda like doing a full marathon right?! But then again, I sorta don't wanna pay $95 to run around Anaheim, when I can pay almost half of that and run somewhere nice like San Diego. But, I'll only do it if someone in particular signs up. Anyhow, thank you very much to those that pushed me to run, especially Lou and Belle. Running with you guys made the mud run a lot easier for me.

I had a random thought before my 6 miler yesterday as I was riding shotgun in Lou's truck on Barranca.
One summer, John Halog had to get his wisdom teeth pulled out at this dental office on Barranca in Irvine. He was a lil bit iffy about it, so he asked me about the time I got mine pulled out. I told him it's not that bad, they just numbed me up, and sorta crushed my teeth and yanked the root out. Luckily, I only had two taken out. I was a bit swollen, but my wisdom teeth were barely growing, and they didn't have to put me to sleep or anything. So yeah, I told him its not that bad.
So I drove him the day of his appointment, and later on I got a call from the office saying that he was done and ready to be picked up. Once I got to the office, he was in tears cuz of so much pain with gauze in mouth. Hehe his cheeks were soooo swollen. Hehe, the assistant advised me to sorta guide him when he walks cuz he was still sorta woozie. So I sorta just held his shoulder while walking, but he totally just shooked me off. Haha, I guess he was pissed cuz he thought it was gonna be an easy visit, but turned out to be so painful for him. hehe he was really pissed off at me for the rest of the day! I still laugh at that moment.
Hehe, anyhow...Happy Birthday John. You would've been 28th today. Rest in Peace, we all still miss you.
And of course Happy Birthday to John John as well!

Yes I'm still alive. Sorry, I know its been a month since I last blogged. I guess I've been really busy the past month that I haven't really been up to blogging.
I was stressed out last month trying to find a new place to live. And luckily we found a new place a few miles away in Tustin. Wow, after almost 10 years, I'm finally out of Irvine for the first time. Well, I moved home for a couple of months after graduation, but that doesn't really count. Still trying to settle in, had to buy a new washer/dryer and fridge which put a dent in my wallet. But this time around, I LOVE doing laundry. I love our LG set, no more having to charge a stupid card and pray your laundry gets dried. Hopefully by this weekend, I'll have all my boxes put away downstairs and we'll be finally settled. I think the only thing that sucks is the commute to work. Yeah, we live closer, but all the streets and freeways are full. I actually have to backtrack to Jamboree in Irvine, then work my way around the old Tustin Marine base. And plus, they have a lot of construction going on with the opening of The District. So that sorta sucks.
But so far, I love it here. I actually have walking space in this room. Its cool cuz Tustin has its ghetto and its really nice areas. Unlike Irvine, where the most ghetto part I can think of is the Park Watts apartments on Michelson and Culver. Ghetto = cheap.
As for work, its been busy as hell for me. I had this promo we did for RENT, where people would submit themselves singing their favorite RENT songs and then upload it on youtube. The winner got to join the cast for a short scene during the April 27th performance. It was a pretty cool experience, and I even met the winner and took some pictures of him during his rehearsal and costume fitting. Some of the contestants had talents, others just made your ears hurt. Seriously, it'd be like "FUCK! Enough already!"
But yeah other than the promo, I've had other stuff to do. And it doesn't help to have Broadway musicals running back to back weeks. That's when I'm most busy. So I've ended up having to work later than I should. It sucks when you set yourself a schedule to work with, and then all these other people ask, hey can you do this, can you do that, etc. Sometimes I wish I had my own office where no one can bug me. Hopefully I can take a day off next week.
I seriously love my connections. Connections as in getting tickets to various venues, whether its free, discounted, or having to pay but with really dope seats. I got my tickets for Incubus in July booked. AND I found out they're gonna be in Irvine in September at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. And yes, I have connections to that place also. I seriously need to make a list of all the freebies and hookups to all the stuff I went to the past couple of years.
Got about a month left until the mudrun. Been running a lot, but not as much as I should. After I get settled, I'll be able to run 3-4 times a week. Tomorrow's 6 miler will be the longest run for me. Not too bad tho, since I did 5 last week. Even though I walked parts of it.
Anyhow, have a safe Cinco de Mayo. Hopefully I'll be blogging more often!
